The terry is thick enough that my daughter stays warm walking home from the pool, and the hood actually covers her wet hair instead of sliding off. Washed it twice already and it hasn't pilled or lost that soft feel.

My toddler actually keeps this on after bathtime instead of squirming away, which never happens with regular towels. The hood stays up over wet hair and the terry soaks up water fast without feeling heavy. The coral stripe is even prettier in person.
